Erika Frantzve, widow of Charlie Kirk, revealed that her husband was wearing a pendant of SãMichael the Archangel at the moment he was shot.
Born into a Catholic home, she became "evangelical" after beginning a relationship with her future husband, but this "evangelical" should really be put in quotation marks, because the TPUSA's concept of "gospel"—Turning Point USA, an organization founded by Charlie Kirk—is not in accordance with Scripture... and that's not even the biggest problem, but only a consequence: the real root of the issue is something else.
Faith and Patriotism: A Theological Error
The fact is that Nothing justifies what was done to Charlie Kirk. And the person responsible must face the consequences of their actions.
However, Charlie, as well as several other American evangelical leaders, had a tendency to mix faith and nationalism: while speaking of Jesus, Kirk promoted the "American Way of Life" and preached US sovereignty over the world, often using the name of Jesus to exalt his country.
And that ends up being quite WRONG.
This would only make sense if we were still living under the Old Covenant, in which God's people were a political unit, in this case, Israel.
However, this needs to be analyzed in light of the statement made by the apostle Paul:
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Based on this legitimate New Testament and definitively Christian doctrine, following exactly the same line of reasoning and action as Charlie Kirk ends up being a type of "prevarication," that is, using one's position to defend personal interests: this is the same mistake Rome made when it proclaimed itself "Holy" to justify its political domination.
Christianity has no flag — it has a kingdom!
Many leaders of American Protestantism fail to grasp the obvious: even though God's people were a nation and an ethnicity, possessing earthly citizenship in the Old Testament… that ended when Jesus accomplished his work!
In other words, CHRISTIANITY HAS NO NATIONALITY other than a heavenly one.
Therefore, using God's name to promote any earthly nation is completely inappropriate: it is using faith for political ends, something that Jesus made very clear should not be done.
Then he asked them, “Whose image is this, and whose inscription?”
They replied, "Caesar's!"“
Then he said to them:
“"Therefore, give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's!"”
In this episode, Jesus establishes that earthly authority is legitimate, but provisional in relation to the Kingdom of God, and that therefore it is not right to mix the two.
It was precisely because of this disregard for the guidelines that Charlie Kirk accepted unacceptable things in a so-called "Christian" organization, such as admitting Mormons — according to Mario Persona, Half of the members of TPUSA are also members of this sect—as well as praising the Pope (obviously the fact that Leo XIV was American had a huge influence on this) and, perhaps for that reason, even while declaring themselves evangelical, accepting to wear a pendant of an angel or saint, something incompatible with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I'm not discussing his salvation: that's something only God knows, and we'll only discover it after this life.
Progressivism is satanic, but conservatism doesn't save us.
However, something needs to be clear: Communism leads to hell., But conservatism is far from automatically leading to heaven!
Although the values of the Conservative right are basically the same as those of Christianity (while those of the left are totally incompatible with the teachings of Jesus and the apostles), it does not replace faith, and to prove this, one only needs to see that there are many conservatives who are not Christians.
Only Jesus saves. And this is immutable: without Christ, even the most politically conservative person in the world will share the exact same eternity of damnation as progressives.
