There's a catastrophe happening in the world — particularly prominently in Brazil — and its name is functional illiteracy!
I only truly experienced this when I stopped running away and, without intending to please or cater to any particular person or institution, agreed to commit myself to spreading the gospel and begin by teaching the Bible to so many "Christians" who, in the end, are completely ignorant of the Scriptures!

With the goal of expanding my solid knowledge of the Word of God and with absolutely no intention of directing people to churches, I joined some communities that were supposedly built around Christian virtues, wanting to collaborate in the edification of the invisible Body of Christ through the sharing of links to the content I publish here, in The Worst Gospel in the World.

If I was once a fiercely confrontational person, I now recognize that I have gained at least some maturity over time: I no longer debate, I avoid using the term "“illiterate”"And I even learned to restrain my reactions to some public pronouncements, however — duly concealing the authors — I have been collecting spontaneous comments and various posts to use as 'objects of analysis,' that is, aiming to reach and enlighten everyone who acts in the same way, but never with the intention of exposing or highlighting the individual who provided me with the 'pearl'.".
But, Teóphilo… what is it?

Functional illiteracy?

A functionally illiterate person can be anyone with limited reading and writing skills, even if they have a diploma hanging on the wall.

Researchers generally agree that the late 1930s were the most likely time for the emergence of the concept of functional illiteracy: in the midst of World War II, it was a way for American commanders to differentiate between soldiers who could understand written instructions and those who could not.
The term began to extend beyond the military sphere due to the persistent efforts of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which, in 1958, proposed defining literacy as the ability to understand what one is reading or to write a short and simple statement.

If it's already difficult to understand short and simple texts, imagine when these creatures encounter biblical references that require somewhat more elaborate reasoning!

Three out of every ten Brazilians are considered functionally illiterate and have limitations in reading, interpreting texts, identifying irony, and performing mathematical operations in everyday life situations.
Currently, they represent 30% of the population between 15 and 64 years old, but, even with their difficulties, functionally illiterate people are frequent users of social networks: 86% use WhatsApp, 72% are Facebook users, and 31% have an Instagram account.

However, the lack of vocabulary among functionally illiterate individuals means that access to these platforms is more limited.
“These people won’t take advantage of social media to obtain information or guarantee rights because they can’t discern content. They would have the same limitation with a printed newspaper, for example… the difference is that they won’t access that,” says researcher Ana Lima, responsible for developing the study. INAF (Functional Literacy Indicator).

One of the consequences of low levels of digital literacy is that these people become more vulnerable to misinformation, especially memes (manipulated images used in false contexts) — says Christine Nyirjesy Bragale, vice president of communications at The News Literacy Project — and, obviously, they have a limited capacity to check through research and parallel reading, and their access to quality print journalism is limited.”

Now, we cannot say that all of this is solely the fault of the many actions implemented by communist ideologies—especially the equipping educational establishments — because there is also a strong factor of complacency, of the laziness that most people have to make an effort, even for their own benefit, in addition to the increasingly watered-down food that is demanded by schools and universities…
Unfortunately, Christians have not escaped this project of brain degradation either.

TOO FAR FROM THE BEREANS

With each publication I make, my expectation is never to be blindly and immediately accepted or followed: I write thinking about it being scrutinized, read by people who compare each idea with what the Bibles in their hands say and who are individually seeking knowledge of God, capable of discerning and even, if I—admittedly flawed like any human being—using the Word to alert myself if I have missed some detail or even to exhort myself if I make a mistake…

But all I find, when it's not a profound mental vacuum like in this capture, are pretentious individuals posing as Christians while trying to impose themselves to "dominate the territory" or gain followers, mainly through distortions and extra-biblical revelations: just as the Word makes the use of strange languages It is extremely risky to alter or add anything to the Word of God, and it implies terrible and eternal consequences!

Faced with such an obstacle, I have spent the last few days reassessing my objectives: if initially I planned a fundamentally biblical approach to spiritual warfare through the analytical exposition of the trajectory and characteristics of spirits throughout world history… I believe that, before that, I must work on "biblical literacy," that is, teaching a good portion of the readers to understand for themselves the texts they are reading and, above all, and exactly like the Bereans, confront them with the Bible, having the confidence that they can discard any and all obvious deception.

I don't expect this journey of knowledge transmission to be easy, because in doing so I will also become the target of even greater scrutiny and judgment... and, surprisingly and unlike any charlatan, this pleases me greatly:

Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged;
And with the measure you use to measure others, it will be measured to you.

(Matthew 7:1-2)

When understood within its context, this passage is a call for... every Christian should exercise and submit to judgment., using the Bible itself as the criterion and measure!
If you refuse to live according to what is revealed in it, then feel free to acknowledge that, despite the illusion, you are not willing to truly follow Jesus Christ and are, at best, a sympathizer of the gospel… which, frankly, is pointless.

First of all,
Know that no prophecy of Scripture comes from personal interpretation,
because prophecy never originated from human will,
But holy men spoke from God,
guided by the Holy Spirit.

Similarly, the knowledge I will impart is simple, not aimed at pleasing any particular person or institution, and above all, attainable by anyone with the slightest willingness to make the mental effort and, setting aside a few more contenders, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit:

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,
He will teach you all things.
And it will make them remember everything I told you.

(John 14:26)

PROPHETIC CHART

The presentation of the most comprehensive studies and perfectly irrefutable arguments is of little or no use when the reader is unable to understand for themselves the difference between this and a lie, having been led to accept both as "valid forms" of expression: that is the catastrophe of functional illiteracy!

If in other times I would simply ignore so many illiterate, Given the content presented above (and since it is not appropriate in this post to consider whether or not there will be a "revival in the last days"), I can clarify that I am changing my publication plan because of the prophet Daniel, who recorded:

But you, dear Daniel,
He locks up the words of the Book in secret, by means of a seal, until the appointed time of the end.
Many will do anything and run from one place to another in search of greater knowledge;
And knowledge will multiply many, many times over!

(Daniel 12:4)

How can prophecy say there will be a "search for knowledge" when reality only reveals a large number of Christians content to finance a professional who promises them miracles and strokes their ego every weekend?
Or could it be that among these "many" who will rush in search of greater knowledge are not included those self-proclaimed "Christians" who, unfortunately, have revealed themselves to be increasingly ignorant, mystical, and insecure to the point of even opening their mouths so that their "spiritual leaders" can defecate any spurious doctrine inside?
I am led to this sad conclusion because of another prophecy:

And there were also false prophets among the people,
just as there will be false teachers among you,
who will secretly introduce destructive heresies,
and they will deny the Lord who redeemed them,
bringing sudden destruction upon themselves.
And many will follow their dissolute ways, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.
And through covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words;
whose judgment has long been a sure thing, and whose destruction does not slumber.

(2ⁿᵈ Peter 2:1-3)

If, even without a calling, ravenous wolves accumulate and solidify within themselves titles of authority in order to keep those they should treat as brothers subservient for the rest of their lives, the role of any genuine Christian is to promote the growth of their brothers to the greatest extent possible… and that is what I intend to do in this “course” that I am launching today and which, at any time, may be interspersed with some content from the original plan.

Just as we have a Supreme Federal Court that should protect the Brazilian Constitution and has blatantly violated its content, there are also religious leaders who have simply abandoned all biblical revelation in order to preach a "different gospel" that is more pleasing to the public and provides more profits: shall we work together to mitigate the catastrophe of functional illiteracy?

Far from traditional curricular methods, I will use comparisons between everyday records and the Bible, highlighting conflicts and agreements, revealing heresies, simplifying concepts that are kept under wraps, and, above all, teaching simple text interpretation to prove that many times we don't need to depend on some "master" to reach our own conclusions.

and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;

and cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
