finitude seems to us like an untamable monster.<br>The continuous media bombardment and digital panic create a bleak scenario, capable of shaking the mental (and even physical!) structure, provoking a state of anguish and depression that can even accelerate the inclusion of many into the grim list of those who have passed away.<br>But how should we, who profess genuine faith, view the last moments of life and the details surrounding them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Richard Wurmbrand, who tasted the cup of pain for 14 years in communist prisons, recounted what he witnessed in &quot;Room Four,&quot; There is, however, one noteworthy fact: no one died an atheist.<br>Fascists, communists, saints, murderers, thieves, priests, wealthy landowners, and the poorest peasants were all crammed together in a tiny cell. Yet none of them died without making peace with God and their neighbor: many entered Room Four as unbelievers with firm convictions\u2026 I always saw their unbelief crumble in the face of death.<br><br>I had heard it said: \u201cIf a cat crosses a bridge, it doesn\u2019t mean the bridge is solid; but if a train passes over it, then it must be solid.\u201d Therefore, if someone calls themselves an atheist while sitting with their spouse having tea and cake, that is no proof of atheism.<br>For a conviction to be genuine, it must survive enormous pressure\u2026 and that doesn&#039;t happen with atheists.<\/div><footer><div class=\"uagb-blockquote__author-wrap uagb-blockquote__author-at-left\"><cite class=\"uagb-blockquote__author\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.videiraverdadeira.com.br\/products.php?product=Nos-Subterraneos-De-Deus-Richard-Wurmbrand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Wurmbrand, Richard \u2013 In God's Underground<\/em><\/a><\/cite><\/div><\/footer><\/blockquote><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Wurmbrand&#039;s observation is insightful, but dangerous if misinterpreted. It immediately brings to mind the scene of Calvary:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-blockquote uagb-block-b36f7da8 uagb-blockquote__skin-border uagb-blockquote__stack-img-none bible-quote\"><blockquote class=\"uagb-blockquote\"><div class=\"uagb-blockquote__content\"><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">And one of the criminals who were hanged there blasphemed against him, saying:<br>If you are the Christ, save yourself and us.<br>But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying:<br>Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?<br>And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.<br>And he said to Jesus:<br>Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.<br>And Jesus said to him:<br>Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.<\/span><\/div><footer><div class=\"uagb-blockquote__author-wrap uagb-blockquote__author-at-left\"><cite class=\"uagb-blockquote__author\"><strong>(Luke 23:39-43)<\/strong><\/cite><\/div><\/footer><\/blockquote><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">We grew up hearing, based on this text or on Stephen&#039;s vision (<strong><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">Acts 7:55-56<\/span><\/strong>), the text suggests that at the last moment of life everyone receives a \"golden opportunity\" to accept Christ, but is there any biblical support for this doctrine of comfort, or is it merely a sedative to calm those who remain, allowing them to imagine that any rebellious soul has found Paradise with a snap of their fingers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Worse still: even if this opportunity for late salvation were the rule, would men\u2014accustomed to a life of rejecting the Truth\u2014be ready to discern the light when the darkness of death finally surrounds them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"como-sera\">What will it be like?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The first and unsettling question that comes to mind regarding this matter is the fact that this supposed &quot;opportunity&quot; is strongly linked to a romantic and classic image of &quot;slow death.&quot; It&#039;s that narrative where one senses the approach of the end and recounts fantastic visions: angels, tunnels of light, and even Christ himself would appear to accompany the soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">However, technology and the brutality of modern times have created situations that are completely incompatible with this placid image.<br>See the records below:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-youtube su-u-responsive-media-yes\"><div class=\"lazyload smush-lazyload-video smush-lazyload-youtube\" style=\"--smush-video-aspect-ratio: 600\/400\" data-bg-image=\"url(https:\/\/piorevangelho.online\/wp-admin\/admin-ajax.php?action=smush_video_thumbnail&#038;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fembed%2F7VG2aJyIFrA%3F&#038;video_width=600&#038;video_height=400)\" ><iframe width=\"600\" height=\"400\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7VG2aJyIFrA?\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture\" title=\"\" src=\"about:blank\"><\/iframe><span class=\"smush-play-btn\" role=\"button\" aria-label=\"Play video\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<span tabindex=\"0\" class=\"smush-play-btn-inner\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<span>Play<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-youtube su-u-responsive-media-yes\"><div class=\"lazyload smush-lazyload-video smush-lazyload-youtube\" style=\"--smush-video-aspect-ratio: 600\/400\" data-bg-image=\"url(https:\/\/piorevangelho.online\/wp-admin\/admin-ajax.php?action=smush_video_thumbnail&#038;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fembed%2FrfKoNTjmJCE%3F&#038;video_width=600&#038;video_height=400)\" ><iframe width=\"600\" height=\"400\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rfKoNTjmJCE?\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture\" title=\"\" src=\"about:blank\"><\/iframe><span class=\"smush-play-btn\" role=\"button\" aria-label=\"Play video\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<span tabindex=\"0\" class=\"smush-play-btn-inner\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<span>Play<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">In cases of unexpected and sudden death\u2014how would that last moment manifest itself? Would those people have time to experience a &quot;moment of decision&quot;? The fact is, we cannot live our entire lives relying on that last-minute trump card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The Word of God presents a picture of complete inability to change after death. The seal is placed the moment breath ceases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-blockquote uagb-block-d4e6ecfa uagb-blockquote__skin-border uagb-blockquote__stack-img-none bible-quote\"><blockquote class=\"uagb-blockquote\"><div class=\"uagb-blockquote__content\"><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">Just as the cloud dissipates and passes,<br>Thus, he who goes down to the grave will never rise again.<br>He will never return to his home again.,<br>Nor will his place ever know him.<\/span><\/div><footer><div class=\"uagb-blockquote__author-wrap uagb-blockquote__author-at-left\"><cite class=\"uagb-blockquote__author\"><strong>(Job 7:9-10)<\/strong><\/cite><\/div><\/footer><\/blockquote><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-blockquote uagb-block-0d9cf297 uagb-blockquote__skin-border uagb-blockquote__stack-img-none bible-quote\"><blockquote class=\"uagb-blockquote\"><div class=\"uagb-blockquote__content\"><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">Because the living know that they will die,<br>But the dead know nothing at all.,<br>Nor will they receive any reward.,<br>But its memory is consigned to oblivion.<br>(\u2026)<br>Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.,<br>because in the grave, where you are going,<br>There is no work, no planning, no knowledge, no wisdom whatsoever.<\/span><\/div><footer><div class=\"uagb-blockquote__author-wrap uagb-blockquote__author-at-left\"><cite class=\"uagb-blockquote__author\"><strong>(Ecclesiastes 9:5 and 10)<\/strong><\/cite><\/div><\/footer><\/blockquote><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Satan Will Be the Defendant, Not the Jailer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is where popular mythology, fueled by shallow religious traditions and Hollywood productions, needs to be demolished. Many imagine hell as a kingdom where Satan, wielding a trident, administers the suffering of others. It&#039;s a theological deception.<br>The text of <strong><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">Luke 16:23-24<\/span><\/strong> reveals that consciousness in Hades is immediate; the Rich Man is not being tortured by demons, but by the thirst and fire of just divine retribution. Satan and his henchmen only have jurisdiction to act until they push the human being \"down into death.\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neither now nor in eternity do they simply not hold the position of jailers: if they are now free and roaming the world seeking whom they may devour, in the future they will be \"dungeon companions\" for whatever consequences may arise related to eternal damnation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-blockquote uagb-block-41514f95 uagb-blockquote__skin-border uagb-blockquote__stack-img-none bible-quote\"><blockquote class=\"uagb-blockquote\"><div class=\"uagb-blockquote__content\"><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.<\/span><br><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">(\u2026)<\/span><br><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.<\/span><br><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.<\/span><br><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.<\/span><\/div><footer><div class=\"uagb-blockquote__author-wrap uagb-blockquote__author-at-left\"><cite class=\"uagb-blockquote__author\"><strong>Revelation 20:10, 13-15<\/strong><\/cite><\/div><\/footer><\/blockquote><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This prophetic passage makes it very clear that the Devil himself will be one of the first to be thrown into the Lake of Fire to be tormented: he will not reign over the fire, but will be consumed by it, along with all those whose names were not found written in the Book of Life.<br>There, where the beast doesn&#039;t die and the fire never goes out (<strong><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#9b51e0\">Mark 9:44-48<\/span><\/strong>). There will be no satanic hierarchy, only the equality of eternal punishment for all who have rejected the Creator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The time to make a decision is called life.<br>I am not referring to those psychological conversions driven by convenience or pure fear of damnation, where it is believed that eternal life can be bought through mindless subservience to the mercenaries of faith, representatives of a certain &quot;Jesus&quot;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Currency Exchange at the Last Minute<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">I wasn&#039;t deaf yet when I originally published this article, and while riding the bus, I overheard someone absorbed by this &quot;theological vacuum&quot; fearlessly preaching the &quot;creed of the Holy Tithe&quot;: the tithe is sacred! No matter what the pastor does with it, we have to deliver it to the treasury!!!<br>Good grief! Isn't this just another example of a futile attempt to hoard money for your last moments?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">My sudden pity for that soul of clouded understanding led me to an unusual act: I pointed out the texts of scholars like <a href=\"https:\/\/piorevangelho.online\/en\/tithes-vs-gifts\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"10035\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brian Anderson<\/a> and I gave them my cell phone number, sincerely requesting a rebuttal on the matter\u2026 how I would like to be refuted with solid biblical basis!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">It&#039;s 2026 \u2014 TWENTY YEARS have passed \u2014 and, honestly, I&#039;m still waiting for people who want to be enlightened, but unfortunately, all I hear are stories taken out of their original biblical context to support corrupt leaders who impose a stupid fear that contradicts the rationality of the Word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover aligncenter is-light has-custom-content-position is-position-top-center ek-linked-block\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-cover__image-background wp-image-10051 size-large smush-dimensions\" alt=\"Hands offering sheaves of grain and others holding real notes, contrasting the agricultural tithe with the collection in cash.\" src=\"https:\/\/piorevangelho.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dizimo-biblico-graos-vs-dinheiro-1024x576.jpg\" data-object-fit=\"cover\" width=\"1024\" style=\"--smush-image-width: 1024px; rituals, and &quot;anointed&quot; objects.<br>What should be pure faith in God is redirected towards practices that are just as unnecessary: <a href=\"https:\/\/piorevangelho.online\/en\/climb-the-mountain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">climbing mountains<\/a> drenching themselves in <a href=\"https:\/\/piorevangelho.online\/en\/study-2\/anointing-oil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">different types of oil<\/a> in cults designed to please and manipulate the public\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">We are facing a false gospel capable of deceiving the unwary and keeping them away (perhaps even for life) from true salvation!<br>The most terrifying thing is to realize that these same people, full of good intentions but empty of the Word, are the same ones who propose to \"disciple\" the new converts who approach them soon after having their own experiences of having <a href=\"https:\/\/piorevangelho.online\/en\/legion-energumens-danger-deliverance-cults\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1911\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">demons expelled<\/a> in the regular activities of these institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">And so, blindly trusting in their pious practices, such people convince themselves that they are being sincere servants of the Lord God.<br>Some, proud of the visibility of their actions (even if they shout in opposition to true biblical recommendations), launch into a brazen rebellion against the very Word of God when they find no support in it for the beliefs they have obtained through their personal experiences!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"seguranca-ou-surpresa\">Religious Security or Eternal Surprise?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Now imagine, if this &quot;final opportunity&quot; really existed, one of these people experiencing their last moment on earth.<br>After so many years of &quot;prophetic acts,&quot; falls, dances in the spirit, and many tithes given out of fear, she nurtures the expectation that the Lord will send a celestial chariot, flanked by a retinue of angels, that will lead her soul to the mansions and many rewards, proportionate to her religious activism!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Suddenly, the Lord Jesus Christ himself appears before her, asking a single, simple question:<br>Will you accept me?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">I dare to imagine the expression of astonishment that will probably turn into indignation:<br>\u2014 Huh!?! But haven't I spent my whole life prophesying in your name? Haven't I converted hundreds to the gospel? Haven't I cast out so many demons?! How can you ask me if I accept you?! Where is my heavenly chariot? Where is my angelic escort?
