Spiritual Applications

Do you know Schrödinger?

If the secrecy regarding fasting, discussed in last publication, This allowed for some (quite pertinent, in fact) questions to be raised, and I believe it would be appropriate to provide a quick and objective overview of the other two forms of "spiritual business," which are so important that they deserved the instructions given by the Lord Jesus Christ himself.
Far from wanting to apply any commercial perspective to spiritual things, I chose the term "business" for didactic purposes only, and these are prayer, almsgiving (donation), and fasting: while prayer constitutes an entirely spiritual relationship, fasting can be considered a "transaction" between matter and spirit, and donation, despite its entirely material appearance, can also achieve spiritual repercussions.

It is essential to clarify that the subject discussed here is not initially related to the famous "heavenly rewards," but rather to the various possible rewards—deliverances, healings, and various blessings—prepared and given by the Lord God himself; publicly perceptible and never fabricated with the purpose of deceiving, manipulating, extorting, or dominating other people.

The rule is clear, but not obvious.

In addition to a willingness to avoid careless reading (as functionally illiterate people usually do), a perfect understanding of what will be explained below requires recognizing that all passages expressing The sayings of Jesus Christ are axioms., That is, absolute truths whose opposition, addition, or contradictory extension of interpretations usually reveals people eager to flaunt the title of "Christian" without actually being so.
Having said that, let's find out what He said:

Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them;
Otherwise, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
When you give alms,
Do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, to be praised by men.
Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
When you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing;
So that your alms may be given in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly.
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites;
For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others.
Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.;
And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly.
And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

(Matthew 6:1-8 – ACF)

As mentioned in the introduction, it is Christ himself who specifies the strict procedures through which "spiritual applications" will be publicly rewarded by the Father who—information evidenced by repetition—sees in secret, and it is interesting, for illustrative purposes and analogy, to present (or remind) readers of a concept called…

Schrödinger's Cat

Also called the "cat-in-a-box paradox," it is a hypothetical representation, made to question the interpretations of quantum mechanics at the beginning of the 20th century, and, by subsequent inference, the limits of applicability of quantum mechanical phenomena to the macroscopic world.

Called Schrödinger's Cat In homage to its creator — Erwin Schrödinger, one of the most important physicists in the field of Quantum Mechanics — the experiment consists of placing a cat inside a box and sealing it inside. Along with the cat, inside the box, is placed a vial containing a poisonous gas, a radioactive element that emits alpha particles, and a device composed of a hammer and a radiation detector. If the detector registers the presence of at least one alpha particle, the hammer is activated and breaks the vial, releasing the poisonous gas and consequently killing the cat.

But let's consider that the radioactive source can release alpha particles within a given time interval, and that it can also not release these particles within that time: there is a 50% chance that the element will release the particle and a 50% chance that it will not.
If it doesn't release the particle, the cat doesn't die; in other words, the result will be "cat alive".
However, if the poison is released, the result of the experiment will be "dead cat".

So we can say that we have 50% of a live cat and 50% of a dead cat, but we can't be sure if the cat is alive or not unless we open the box to look inside, and that's where the strangest part comes in: according to quantum mechanics, the cat could be in both states, alive and dead!
Well, we know in practice that a cat can only be alive or dead, but not both, and, leaving aside the minutiae and uncertainties of the scientific field, we are certain that once dead, the cat will not come back to life.

Schrödinger's Alms

Similar to the cat's experience, and regardless of its value, any donation will simply cease to count for rewards with the Father in heaven from the moment it is made in front of other people, even more so if it is done with the intention of receiving any kind of glorification: even if the money has been given, the mere visibility of the act renders it null and void, or, using the illustration, it is a cat that seems alive… but was born dead!
And don't think I'm only referring to the many biblically illiterate people who nowadays boast about their alms on the internet or on TV programs: among the biggest practitioners of empty donations continue to be the "hypocrites in the synagogues" or, to update the term, those who still haven't understood that they are Gentiles in Grace and think that queuing inside their ecclesiastical establishments to emulate the Jewish law of "giving tithes and offerings" is a valid way to please the Lord God…
They are second only to the ecclesiastical organizations themselves in their ignorance of the Scriptures, which disseminate absurd things like gold, silver, or bronze lists to categorize "faithful tithers" according to the amount of money given by each one.

RED ALMS

If the ignorance of all those mentioned so far still allows them the illusion that their financial contributions will be multiplied on earth with echoes in eternity, far worse than them are those who simply rebel against God's decrees and decide to unite to establish a "paradise on earth," supposing that human attributes will be sufficient for such an achievement…
Since the Scriptures were inspired by God, we only need to pay attention to what is recorded! Let me present a summary: in this world we will have afflictions. We will eat the bread of the "sweat of our brow," that is, the same work for which a simple and direct alternative was given to those who do not wish to perform it: do not eat!
It is clear that there are limiting situations that truly prevent some people from working and make them eligible for assistance, but it is almost impossible to believe that God's grace will move people to collaborate as proposed, in multifaceted and supernatural ways, in their hearts… so for many, including some “Christians,” it is easier to abandon any perspective of faith and force everyone to pass on uniform amounts to the government so that it can wisely use them in generalized and impersonal financial aid projects!

Quoting the second part From the series "The Red Bible," allow me to paraphrase the passage from Matthew 6 to ratify my statements:
When you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as they do. Left-wing leaders, through their projects and grants, are especially vulnerable because they are not truly using their own resources, but rather dipping into other people's pockets for impersonal charity. to be glorified by men ...and enslave anyone who makes use of it, in order to expand and perpetuate the dominion of our political ideology in this world... and to hell with this so-called God, because we will implement a... Paradise right here on earth!

Even more dramatic is the realization that it is not only the leaders who pull the hooks that pierce the flesh of those who fall into their traps: the other slaves themselves take it upon themselves to perpetuate the misery.

TRUE ALMS AND GOOD DEEDS

Long before the existence of "PIX", brother Hélio de Menezes I had already recorded some thoughts on the best way to help a brother in need, and I have taken the liberty of updating and expanding on them:

Put an envelope with money and an anonymous address under his door — 0 people will glorify him. It is better than;
Give it to him personally, asking him to keep it secret (this would be the case with PIX) — One person will glorify you. It is better than;
Asking a fellow believer (from another church?) to deliver his offering to him, without revealing the source — One person will glorify you. It is better than;
Ask your pastor or an official to deliver your offering to him, without revealing the source — One person will glorify you. It is better than;
Ask the entire officer corps to take his offering to him, without revealing the source — 8 people will glorify you. It is better than;
Give it to him in front of the whole church, having it announced over the microphone — 1000 people will glorify you.…and that's already a terrible thing, considering that even some unbelievers are capable of donating anonymously—and that's only not worse than;
Despite having resolved in your heart to send a certain amount of money to a specific person, you refuse to heed this prompting and prefer to stand in line to deposit money in an envelope in an offering box, hoping that the money will reach them. Some time later you discover that your brother received no help because the value of all the envelopes deposited that day (often underreported) was used for administrative expenses—including reimbursing the pastor "under the table" for the income tax withheld at source from his salary! A thousand people will glorify you for your outward appearance of piety in that line, but the manifold grace of God will be solemnly ignored, and the person to be helped... will simply remain helpless.!

Comment on excerpt from the study “Decimate vs. Give”, by Brian Anderson

I also believe it is very important, though difficult, to emphasize that, in addition to being as anonymous as possible, donations should be made without any intention of gaining dominance, influence, changing attitudes, or, as once happened to me, silencing the recipients.

For if you love those who love you, what reward will you get?
For even the wicked love those who love them.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you?
Even unbelievers act in this same way.
And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive back, what reward do you have?
Even disbelievers lend to disbelievers in order to receive their desired return.
In conclusion, love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.
Therefore, your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High.
For He is kind even to the ungrateful and wicked.

(Luke 6:32-35 – KJA)

Beyond this "breakdown" of any expectation of connection, the other reason why the red model of institutional charity—as useless as the "marches to Jesus" carried out by its opponents—becomes completely despicable is that the very promise of Eternity has nothing to do with socialism or communism, since both salvation and rewards are absolutely individual benefits, and this can be verified through the prophetic promises which, incidentally, should also be enough to terrify anyone who dares to act fraudulently or improperly when asking for help:

So that Each of us will be accountable for ourselves. goodbye.
(…)
Let the unjust continue to be unjust; let the filthy continue to be filthy.;
Let the one who is righteous continue to be righteous, and let the one who is holy continue to be holy.
Behold, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me.,
to to give to each according to their work..

(Romans 14:12 / Revelation 22:11-12 – ACF)

Perhaps it is necessary to clarify that I am not here trying to incite any rebellion that might lead Christians to stop giving to Caesar what is Caesar's, even if such funds end up being used to finance the sacrifice of innocent babies still in the womb or, as if God could err, procedures for "gender reassignment" in public hospitals.
The fact is that we cannot assign to any other entity—individual, ecclesiastical, or governmental—the responsibility of donating, begging, or performing any good deeds, regardless of the amount involved, when only we ourselves are responsible for carrying them out, as proposed in each of our hearts and always in the most discreet way possible.

Because each tree is known by its own fruit;
For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from brambles.
A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart.,
And the evil man brings forth evil out of the evil treasure of his heart,
For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

(Luke 6:44-45 – ACF)

Helping someone overcome addiction is very good and commendable, but this is NOT THE MAIN FUNCTION OF THE GOSPEL!!!
For this reason, there are many aid programs of diverse origins, and in no way can we confuse social actions with the work of the Lord God, otherwise we will very soon be convinced that any charitable organization — such as LBV, Spiritism, Freemasonry… — is also Christian and evangelistic!
From the moment we commit to the true gospel, we must change our perspectives and learn to discern the things that are common (secular) from those that are sacred and for eternal life, because if faith without works is dead, works, however great they may be, will never guarantee entry into salvation.

For by grace you have been saved through faith;
And this is not from yourselves; it is the gift of God.
It is not from works, so that no one may boast.

(Ephesians 2:8-9 – ACF)

Therefore, and knowing that simply saying “Jesus loves you.”"It is far from being true evangelism; it is useless to feed, educate, pay for health treatments, adopt orphans or abandoned children if such good actions are not opportunities to lead them to the one true faith."

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

(Romans 10:17 – ACF)

Beyond that, despite the appearance of piety that cloaks good deeds, one is only prolonging the creature's existence in the world, for living an entire life in denial of faith is like using a palliative or placebo, without any real power to prevent the inevitable and worst condemnation of all.

But as for the timid, and to the unbelievers, ...and to the abominable, and to the murderers, and to the sexually immoral, and to sorcerers, and to idolaters, and to all liars,
Their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur;
What is the second death?.

(Revelation 21:8 – ACF)

SCHRÖDINGER'S PRAYERS

Perhaps the best way to begin this topic is by confessing a mistake I myself made—due to factors such as excessive zeal, misinterpretation, and a touch of inattention—a long time ago: for almost a year I avoided saying that I would pray for people!
This in no way means that I didn't pray for them, but I didn't say I would for fear of seeming triumphalist… and this lasted about a year, until I met the crazy people who say “I prophesy!”with regard to intentions of your heartSeeing celebrities prophesying life before crowds—and in the name of God no less!—for people who met their death the next day is enough to make anyone unfamiliar with the Scriptures incredulous and skeptical.
As I have written previously and clearly on the subject (just click on these last two links), the goal here is not to explain that false prophets like these automatically make themselves servants of the devil and liable to death, but rather to leave no doubt that the arrogance of any public prayer will immediately render it ineffective!

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites;
For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others.
Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

(Matthew 6:5 – ACF)
DISGUISED EXHIBITIONISM
The "Prayer Currency" loses all value.
IF WE CAN SEE IT WHEN IT IS DEPOSITED…

I read the passage above and my first impression is of that pastor-politician with straightened hair, praying arrogantly and meticulously instructing God on how to position his angels around each person present in that room, as if the same physical and strategic rules of the material world were valid in the spiritual world…
I also can't forget Sant'Ana Paula with her "Thundercats"-style moans and screams, using her shows to rub her supposed intimacy with God in the audience's face and, worse than that, knowing that she will be idolized and imitated by a multitude of illiterate people submerged and drowned in her Lagoinha.

Unfortunately, it's not only celebrities who succumb to the temptation to demonstrate authority, intimacy, humility, or any other quality that, however praiseworthy, simply has any merit erased immediately after being displayed in the form of a public prayer: the next time you go to your church, please remember this and know that anything expressed in public prayer that goes beyond the limits of the "Our Father"... becomes null and void after being displayed!
I am not here trying to establish the repetition of the "Our Father" word for word as Catholics do, just as I do not intend to be another one... explain sentence by sentence The prayer taught by Christ, but the biblically supported public prayer is one that strictly adheres to the limits of treatment and petition presented there, which may end up not seeming so spectacular to the audience.

To spend your time drooling, shouting, calling the Creator "daddy," praying about that boil on your backside, that bloody hemorrhoid, that constipation, that relationship that never happened, harassment in the workplace, some family disagreement, as well as any and all possible personal, intimate, subjective, or emotional details should not be exposed in public prayer (as I have already witnessed everything I have listed here!)... here is the rule:

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.;
And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly.
And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

(Matthew 6:6-8 – ACF)
Did Christ contradict himself?

— But Teóphilo, why did Christ say that and then go up the mountain, taking disciples with him to pray with Him?

That was the sincere question posed by a supporter of unnecessary “prayers on the mountain”"He sent it to me, and knowing how difficult it is for some people to interpret texts, I decided to explain it thoroughly and with solid reference to the Scriptures:"

And Jesus said:
Foxes have dens and birds of the air have nests.,
but The Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head..

(Matthew 8:20 – ACF)

Given what I've already explained about axioms, either you believe in Christ and the power of Scripture, or you simply cannot claim to be a Christian!
If in that passage He states that He had nowhere to lay His head, into which room could we expect Him to go to pray?!?
Now, we know that the Lord Jesus lived in Peter's house, even healing his mother-in-law, during the time he was preaching in Galilee, but that doesn't mean he had a room he could call his own, much less that it would be convenient for him to lock himself in one of the rooms of the house to pray in secret... so how did the Lord Jesus Christ converse intimately with the Father?
The next passage gives us plenty of detail about this:

And as he left, he went, as usual, to the Mount of Olives;
And his disciples followed him as well.
And when he arrived at that place, he said to them:
Pray that you may not enter into temptation.
E He moved away from them by about a stone's throw.;
And kneeling down, he prayed, saying:
Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.
And an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. And being in agony, he prayed more earnestly.
And his sweat became like great drops of blood falling to the ground.

And rising from prayer, he came to his disciples, and found them sleeping of sadness.
And he said to them:
Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.

(Luke 22:39-46 – ACF)
THE PLACE

Now, if He did not have His own private quarters, circumstances led Him to seek a place where He could have privacy, and, sovereign over all Creation, He made the Mount of Olives "His room," without this meaning that the practice of praying on the mountain can be considered a biblical doctrine, as, unfortunately, the illiterate have come to do here in our days.

IN SECRET

In fact, the disciples accompanied him to the mountain, but at no point did they pray with the Lord, for Christ only began to pray after he had moved a "stone's throw" away, that is, about 20 or 30 meters from them: the confirmation that this distance was maintained is in the fact that the disciples were not even aware of what occurred in the private prayer and, in fact, were even sleeping when Christ went to get them!
Unfortunately, today's religious mountaineers both despise the private quarters God has provided for them and, upon reaching the mountain, pray together and practice all sorts of mysticism that have absolutely no basis in Scripture and, worse than that, Those who need to see to believe are not exactly blessed.…

PRIVACY

As we have seen, only after being away from everyone did the Lord open his heart and both reveal to the Father what he would not say in a public prayer and release his emotions with such intensity that he sweated drops of blood! Imagine the strangeness and even possible embarrassment this phenomenon would have caused if He had been using a borrowed room in Peter's house?

Finally, when we analyze this passage, we discover that the Lord found a completely unorthodox, yet perfectly feasible solution to fulfill what He had established regarding the privacy of prayer: if even He was directly tempted by Satan, what do we suffer when we open our mouths wide to speak about what should be hidden in our hearts and accessible only to the Lord God?

THE MOST SECRET PLACE
OF ALL CREATION:

ENTITY

And there is no creature hidden from his sight;
Before all things, they are naked and open to the eyes of him with whom we must deal.
(…)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

(Hebrews 4:13 / 1 Peter 5:8 – ACF)

CONCLUSION

Please, let's not be foolish in imagining that Satan will thwart our plans upon learning of them: on the contrary, he may use the power of deception to carry them out in such an opulent way that it will ultimately distance us from God's true purposes for our existence—many biographies and epitaphs of celebrities are irrefutable proof of this.
Don't be fooled into thinking you're the new Job, because nowadays it's those who imitate Solomon who most easily stray from the Lord and distort His Truth.

Being aware that the The Lord God is Almighty And being aware of all things, we must be ready to receive any of the three possible answers to what we ask for in prayer: "yes," "wait," and "no.".
We have just seen that the Lord Jesus Christ himself received a "no" when he questioned the possibility of having the bitter cup of his crucifixion taken away from him; similarly, the apostle Paul, in 2 Corinthians 12, He pleaded three times for a certain "thorn in the flesh" to be removed and had to settle for a "no"... who are these people of our day who sell themselves as possessors of "powerful prayers" to fulfill requests, usually related to affection, finances, or health, if not fraudulent disciples of Simon Magus?
"No" may not seem like it at first, but it can also be a blessing, and the Scriptures present us with the example of Hezekiah, whose answered prayer ended up bringing a series of deceptions and even a Manasseh as a bonus…

Finally, the purpose of this publication is to present, according to the Scriptures, the correct way to pray and perform good deeds in order to receive the rewards from the Father who sees in secret, which are initially said to be publicly visible rewards.
However, as we continue reading the episode, we will come across the best part, immediately added by the Lord Jesus Christ himself to the context of the conversation:

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.;
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

(Matthew 6:19-21 – ACF)

So, isn't this ultimately a real promise of double investment?!
It sounds so good and so promising that it's almost embarrassing to say that all you have to do is act according to the rules, without inventing, without showing off, without competing... always in secret, always extending a hand without the other knowing, always and forever seeking to know and live the Truth.
I can only register a note of regret for the amount of time wasted by participants in ecclesiastical enterprises who, through arrogance or ignorance, make many prayers that should be absolutely private lengthy and public.
May the Lord God keep us captive to His instructions.

Thank you for reading this far, and I honestly wouldn't be writing this if I didn't need all the help you can get: comments, shares, and reactions help spread this content, which was produced with the intention of contributing to the edification of the Body of Christ in the world.
